Hey there. OK, let’s dig into this. Tell me your approach to talking to strangers and getting them interested in ViSalus. I’ve heard some approaches, and I’ve also found for some, their approach is off target. Let me help! What is your “Opening Line?” Please post, I’ll take it all and work my magic on it and shoot videos to help you with this. PS – It’s EASY to get people interested in something when you present it in the right way.

Great Topic! I will get folks to jump on this! The opening line from the GST Training is- “Do have a minute? I just found out about the 90 day challenge…my goal is..and I thought of you… everyone- be honest and share what you have done! This will be great!

We try to find a common interest to chat about first and then my husband mentions the opportunity and asks if they like to party. Try not to say too much and you can tell by their interest or body language right away. I talk about the Challenge. Or another question to ask is are you making enough money or are you looking for a change?

During conversation, job careers are discussed, when they ask me what I do, I tell them I am a nurse at the U of I and I also promote the 90 day challenge. When they ask what the 90 day challenge is, I tell them it is where we chose a personal health goal, it can be to lose unwanted weight, gain lean muscle, get fit, healthy or even to just to save money. We do this as a group and have fun doing it together. It’s something simple and fun and fits into people’s crazy schedule, even mine when I was working 2 jobs. I then share my success with my challenge goal of dropping 8 dress sizes in 90 days.

We look for people who are friendly and enthusiastic. :) We say we like their personality and are they interested in health and wellness and go from there, give them our business card and get their information to follow up
One other problem we would like help with is how best to approach people that we knew years ago and haven’t talked to since, but would like to share the opportunity with, especially those who live far away. We usually small talk for a bit and then share the website with them to take a look at a health and wellness company that we are excited about. We talk about the benefits that we have experienced and let them know we will get back to them in a day or so.

WOW, this is awesome! I read all of these. I’m thinking through these. I’m sure more will come. What I’m going to do is take and unify these into a few solid approaches. All of them have some “holes” in them. All are great, we just need to “plug the holes” to make them work better. Let me follow this for a few days and I’ll start shooting some videos on it with very specific answers. THANKS again for participating. Those who participate actively like you guys will find their sales growing sooner that later!

I usually ask if they have heard of the Body by Vi 90 Day Challenge. If they say no, I tell them we have nutrition products that help with weight loss, energy, fitness, and it’s all good for you! (I try to lead with what it looks like they might be interested in- if they are overweight I lead with weight loss, if they look very healthy I lead with fitness, if they act tired, I lead with energy. But I always include all three because you never know what they are actually looking for, I can only tell what I see, and that might be very different from their desires. If they seem like a possible promoter I throw in: it’s also a great way to make some extra money!) Then if they seem interested I give them a neuro & business card (I’ve made labels from clear address labels with my email & phone & visalus web site, that I put on each neuro packet so they’ll have my contact info even if they misplace the business card I give them). I show them the back of the card & tell them they can go to my website to find out more about the products, and call that phone number to listen to a recorded message about them. I try to go ahead and get their name and phone number if they express interest, and call them back. I do pretty well up to that point. Then I run into the same problem: getting them to actually come to a challenge party or let me do a 1 on 1 so they can taste the shake. Guess that’s where my big hole is, lol. :)
